The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 By the angels driving away. 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, and the Sustainer of all the points of sunrise! 5 Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 They pay no attention when they are reminded 13 And when they see a sign they incite one another to scoff, 14 And they say, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 And our forefathers [as well]?" 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see. 19 They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” 20 This is the Day of Decision which you belied. 21
