Say: 'I am only a warner. There is no god except Allah, the One, the Conqueror, 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again." 66 Say, "It is great news 67 From which you turn away. 68 I have no knowledge of the dispute among the angels (concerning their attitude towards Adam). 69 it has only been revealed to me that I am a plain warner." 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him (his) soul created by Me, then you fall down prostrate to him." 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 Not so Iblis: he was haughty, and became one of those who reject Faith. 74 [Allah] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?" 75 (Iblis) said: "I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay." 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 He (satan) replied: 'Respite me my Lord till the Day of Resurrection' 79 He said: Surely you are of the respited ones, 80 till the Day the time whereof is known [only to Me]." 81 He said: Then, by Thy might, I surely will beguile them every one, 82 Save Thy bondmen among them Sincere. 83 (Allah) said: "Then it is just and fitting- and I say what is just and fitting- 84 I shall assuredly fill Gehenna with thee, and with whosoever of them follows thee, all together.' 85 Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious 86 This is nothing else but a reminder to all the worlds, 87 You will come to know its truth in time." 88
