The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 On the Day (when the first blowing of the Trumpet is blown), the earth and the mountains will shake violently (and everybody will die), 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 and hastily turned away, 22 then he mustered 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 In this there is a lesson for those who have fear of God. 26
