Lo! the hypocrites say, and those in whose hearts is a disease: "These people,- their religion has misled them." But if any trust in Allah, behold! Allah is Exalted in might, Wise. 49 If thou couldst see, when the angels take the souls of the Unbelievers (at death), (How) they smite their faces and their backs, (saying): "Taste the penalty of the blazing Fire- 50 "Because of (the deeds) which your (own) hands sent forth; for Allah is never unjust to His servants: 51 Like Pharaoh's folk, and the people before him, who disbelieved in God's signs; God seized them because of their sins; God is strong, terrible in retribution. 52 "Because Allah will never change the grace which He hath bestowed on a people until they change what is in their (own) souls: and verily Allah is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things)." 53 (Deeds) after the manner of the people of Pharaoh and those before them": They treated as false the Signs of their Lord: so We destroyed them for their crimes, and We drowned the people of Pharaoh: for they were all oppressors and wrong-doers. 54 Verily, the vilest creatures in the sight of God are those who are bent on denying the truth and therefore do not believe. 55 As for those with whom you have made a treaty and who abrogate it every time, and do not fear God, 56 So if you find them in battle, kill them in a manner which makes those behind them scamper back, in the hope that they may learn a lesson. 57 or, if thou hast reason to fear treachery from people [with whom thou hast made a covenant,] cast it back at them in an equitable manner: for, verily, God does not love the treacherous! 58
