The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Bestowed the Qur'an, 2 Created man, 3 He taught distinctness. 4 [At His behest] the sun and the moon run their appointed courses; 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 And observe the weight with equity, and make not deficient the balance. 9 And the earth has He spread out for all living beings, 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 He is the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests. 17 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 18 He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 25
