They ask you about revelation. Say, revelation is by the command of your Lord, and that you have been given but little knowledge. 85 And if We willed, We could surely do away with that which We revealed to you. Then you would not find for yourself concerning it an advocate against Us. 86 Except the mercy of your Lord; indeed His munificence upon you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is extremely great. 87 Say, "If all men and jinn gathered together to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce one like it, however much they helped one another." 88 We have explained things for people in this Qur'an in diverse ways to make them understand the Message, yet most people obstinately persist in unbelief. 89 And they say, "We will not believe you until you break open for us from the ground a spring. 90 Or you should have a garden of palms and grapes in the midst of which you should cause rivers to flow forth, gushing out. 91 Or thou causest the heaven to fall upon us, as thou assertest, in pieces, or thou bringest God and the angels face to face. 92 or thou have a house [made] of gold, or thou ascend to heaven - but nay, we would not [even] believe in thy ascension unless thou bring down to us [from heaven] a writing which we [ourselves] could read! Say thou, [O Prophet:] "Limitless in His glory is my Sustainer! Am I, then, aught but a mortal man, an apostle?" 93
