Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship 161 Can lead (any) into temptation concerning Allah, 162 Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 They used to say: 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 And leave them for a time. 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
