The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ GOD'S JUDGMENT is [bound to] come: do not, therefore, call for its speedy advent! Limitless is He in His glory and sublimely exalted above anything to which men may ascribe a share in His divinity! 1 He sends down the angels with the Spirit (Gabriel) by His command to those of His worshipers whom He chooses, (saying:) 'Warn, there is no god except Me, therefore fear Me' 2 He created the heavens and the earth in truth; high be He exalted above that they associate With Him! 3 He created man from a sperm-drop; then at once, he is a clear adversary. 4 And He created cattle; in them are warm clothing and uses for you, and you eat from them. 5 And in them is your elegance, when you bring them home at evening, and when you leave them to graze. 6 and they carry your loads to many a place which you would be unable to reach without much hardship. Surely your Lord is Intensely Loving, Most Merciful. 7 He created horses, mules and donkeys for riding and for splendour. He created other things too which you do not know. 8 The straight way leads to God and there are ways which deviate from the right course. If He so wished, He would guide you all. 9
