Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 My Lord! then place me not with the unjust. 94 Indeed, We are able to show you that which We promised them. 95 Repel, by [means of] what is best, [their] evil. We are most knowing of what they describe. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I take refuge in Thee from the evil suggestions of the Satans, 97 And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me." 98 (They shall persist in their deeds) until when death comes to anyone of them he will say: "My Lord, send me back to the world 99 That I may do some good I did not do (in the world)." Not so. These are only words he utters. Behind them lies the intervening barrier (stretching) to the day of their resurrection. 100 So when the trumpet is blown, there shall be no ties of relationship between them on that day, nor shall they ask of each other. 101 Then as for him whose good deeds are preponderant, these are the successful. 102 But those whose scales are lighter will perish and abide in Hell for ever. 103 The fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction. 104 (It will be said): Were not My revelations recited unto you, and then ye used to deny them? 105 They shall say, 'Our Lord, our adversity prevailed over us; we were an erring people. 106 Lord, take us out of this and if we sin again, we shall certainly be unjust". 107 He shall say: Go away into it and speak not to Me; 108 You are those that when a party of My servants said: 'Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful,' 109 But you took them for a mockery until they made you forget My remembrance and you used to laugh at them. 110 Lo! I have rewarded them this day forasmuch as they were steadfast in that they, even they, are the triumphant. 111 He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years? 112 They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate." 113 He will say: Ye tarried but a little if ye only knew. 114 Did you think that We had created you for a playful purpose and that you were not to return to Us?" 115 So Exalted be Allah, the True King, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! 116 He, who invokes another deity along with God, a deity of whose divinity he has no proof, will be brought to account by his Lord. Certainly, those who deny the truth shall never prosper. 117 (Muhammad), say, "Lord, forgive me and grant me mercy; You are the best of the Merciful Ones. 118
