AND CALL to mind Our servant Job, [how it was] when he cried out to his Sustainer, "Behold, Satan has afflicted me with [utter] weariness and suffering!" 41 "Go swiftly to the spring," (We said). "This cold water is for bathing and for drinking." 42 And We gave him his family and the like of them with them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to those possessed of understanding. 43 (and We said to him): “Take in your hand a bundle of rushes and strike with it, and do not break your oath.” Indeed We found him steadfast. How excellent a servant (of Ours) he was. Indeed he constantly turned (to his Lord). 44 And remember thou Our bondmen, Ibrahim and Is-haq and Ya'qub, owners of might and insight. 45 Surely We purified them by a pure quality, the keeping in mind of the (final) abode. 46 Indeed with Us they are among the chosen, the excellent. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu al-Kifl. All were of the best. 48 This is a Reminder. The righteous shall have a good place to return to: 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are opened for them, 50 Reclining within them, they will call therein for abundant fruit and drink. 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 (It will be said to them)! Verily, this is Our Provision which will never finish; 54 This is so! And for the Taghun (transgressors, disobedient to Allah and His Messenger - disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, criminals, etc.), will be an evil final return (Fire), 55 Hell, which they will [enter to] burn, and wretched is the resting place. 56 (They will be told), "This is your recompense. 57 And other Penalties of a similar kind, to match them! 58 Here is a multitude rushing headlong with you. There is no welcome for them. They will roast in the fire. 59 But they will say: 'No, it is you that has no welcome. It was you who brought it upon us, an evil place' 60 They will continue saying, "Lord, double the torment of fire for those who led us into this. 61 And they say: What aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked? 62 “Did we mock at them or did our eyes turn away from them?” 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
