To whosoever blinds himself from the Remembrance of the Merciful, We shall assign him a satan so he is his companion, 36 Devils divert men from the [right] way, while they think that they are rightly guided. 37 Till, when he cometh unto Us, he saith (unto his comrade): Ah, would that between me and thee there were the distance of the two horizons - an evil comrade! 38 On that Day it will not profit you in the least [to know] that, since you have sinned [together,] you are now to share your suffering [as well]. 39 Can you (O Muhammad SAW) make the deaf to hear, or can you guide the blind or him who is in manifest error? 40 So if We take you away, We shall then indeed take revenge from them. 41 or We shall show you what We have promised them; for surely We have complete power over them. 42 So adhere to that which is revealed to you. Indeed, you are on a straight path. 43 It is a (source) of greatness for you and your people. You will surely be questioned about it. 44 Ask Our Messengers whom We sent before you if We have ever made gods, other than the Merciful, to be worshipped. 45
