Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
