▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ No! I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 that this indeed is a noble Qur'an, 77 In a Book Hidden. 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 And you at the moment are looking on, 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 If you are true to your claim that there is no Day of Judgment, 86 Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 87 [ALL OF YOU are destined to die.] Now if one happens to be of those who are drawn close unto God, 88 then for him there shall be comfort and plenty and a Garden of Bliss; 89 And if he be of the Companions of the Right Hand, 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 If it is of those who have rejected the Truth and have gone astray, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 and will be scorched by the Fire. 94 This is the absolute Truth and certainty. 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
