The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 And by the witnessing day (i.e. Friday), and by the witnessed day [i.e. the day of 'Arafat (Hajj) the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah]; 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
Almighty Allah's Truth.
