The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
