Al-Baqarah 5 of 40

O children of Israel! Just recall to mind My favour wherewith I blessed you fulfil your covenant with Me and I shall fulfil My covenant with you, and fear Me alone. 40 And believe in that I have sent down, confirming that which is with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And sell not My signs for a little price; and fear you Me. 41 Confound not the Truth with falsehood nor conceal it knowingly. 42 Be steadfast in prayer, pay the religious tax (zakat) and bow down in worship with those who do the same. 43 ۞ Enjoin you Al-Birr (piety and righteousness and each and every act of obedience to Allah) on the people and you forget (to practise it) yourselves, while you recite the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)]! Have you then no sense? 44 And seek help in patience and prayer. For it is heavy, except to the humble, 45 Who bear in mind the certainty that they are to meet their Lord, and that they are to return to Him. 46
