Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star); 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 And it is no joke. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
