Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Resurrection?' 6 When the eye is bewildered, 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 even though they make excuses. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 Lo! upon Us (resteth) the putting together thereof and the reading thereof. 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will be radiant on that Day, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 knowing that a crushing calamity is about to befall them. 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 and is enwrapped in the pangs of death 29 at that time towards thy Sustainer does he feel impelled to turn! 30
