Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
The unbelievers among the People of the Book and the idolaters would never desist until the Clear Proof came to them. 1 An Apostle from God, reading out hallowed pages 2 Containing correct scriptures. 3 Nor did those who were given the Scripture become divided until after there had come to them clear evidence. 4 And they were not enjoined anything except that they should serve Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience, upright, and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and that is the right religion. 5 The unbelievers of the People of the Book and the idolaters shall be in the Fire of Gehenna, therein dwelling forever; those are the worst of creatures. 6 Those who have faith and do righteous deeds,- they are the best of creatures. 7 Whose reward is with their Lord -- gardens of Eden with rivers flowing by, where they will abide for ever, God pleased with their service, they with obedience to Him. This (awaits) him who stands in awe of his Lord. 8
