Tell them, (O Prophet): “I am nothing but a warner. There is no deity but Allah, the One, the Supreme, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say, “That is a great tidings.” 67 (And) you are turning aside from it: 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted assembly [of angels] when they were disputing [the creation of Adam]. 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 Recall what time thy Lord said unto the angels: verily I am about to create a human being from clay; 71 So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, then fall down making obeisance to him. 72 The angels prostrated themselves, all of them. 73 save Iblis: he gloried in his arrogance, and [thus] became one of those who deny the truth. 74 Said He: "O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being,] or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?" 75 He said: "I am better than he. You created me from fire, and him from clay." 76 (God) said: "Then go hence, ostracised. 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 Said [Iblis]: "Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!" 79 The Lord said, "You will only be given a respite 80 till the Day whose Hour I know.” 81 He said, “Therefore, by oath of Your honour, I will surely mislead all of them.” 82 Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones. 83 [And God] said: "This, then, is the truth! And this truth do I state: 84 "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." 85 Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious 86 “It is not but an advice for the entire world.” 87 and after a while you shall know its news' 88
