The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (Inevitable) cometh (to pass) the Command of Allah: seek ye not then to hasten it: Glory to Him, and far is He above having the partners they ascribe unto Him! 1 He doth send down His angels with inspiration of His Command, to such of His servants as He pleaseth, (saying): "Warn (Man) that there is no god but I: so do your duty unto Me." 2 He created the heavens and earth in truth. High is He above what they associate with Him. 3 He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer! 4 He created the cattle from whom you get warm clothing and (other) advantages, and some you eat. 5 and there is beauty in them for you, when you bring them home to rest and when you drive them forth abroad to pasture; 6 And they bear your loads to a city which ye could not reach except with travail of souls; verily your Lord is Kind, Merciful. 7 And horses and mules and asses (hath He created) that ye may ride them, and for ornament. And He createth that which ye know not. 8 And upon Allah it rests to show the right way, and there are some deviating (ways); and if He please He would certainly guide you all aright. 9
