Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
