Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 And those that strike violently, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known term? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
