The people of Noah denied the messengers 105 When their brother Nuh (Noah) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 so fear Allah, and obey me. 108 I seek of you no reward for this: my reward is with none except the Lord of the Universe. 109 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They said: shall We believe in thee when the meanest follow thee? 111 He said: "And what knowledge have I of what they used to do? 112 Lo! their reckoning is my Lord's concern, if ye but knew; 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 'I am naught but a plain warner.' 115 They said: "O Noah! If you do not desist, you will certainly become one of the accursed." 116 He said: My Lord! Lo! my own folk deny me. 117 “Therefore make a decisive judgement between me and them, and rescue me and the believers along with me.” 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, 119 And drowned the rest of them. 120 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 121 And lo, thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
