The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 Verily your God is One, 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 to protect them from the rebellious satan. 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 and they say, 'This is nothing but manifest sorcery. 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
