1/2 Hizb 45

۞ Gather together the evildoers, their wives, and that they were worshipping, 22 other than Allah, and guide them to the Path of Hell! 23 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." 24 "What is the matter with you that you do not help each other?" 25 No, today they will resign themselves in submission, 26 but [since it will be too late,] they will turn upon one another, demanding of each other [to relieve them of the burden of their past sins]. 27 saying: 'You used to come to us from the right hand' 28 They will reply: "Nay, ye yourselves had no Faith! 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 Therefore we perverted you, and we ourselves were perverts.' 32 So this day they all are partners in the punishment. 33 Verily We! in this wise We deal with the culprits. 34 They were the ones, who on being told, "God is only One," become puffed-up with pride 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 No, indeed, he has brought the truth, and confirmed the Messengers. 37 Verily ye are going to taste a torment afflictive. 38 Ye are requited naught save what ye did - 39 But the chosen servants of God; 40 there is waiting for them a known provision; 41 fruits. And they are receivers of generosity 42 In the Gardens of delight, 43 Facing each other on Thrones (of Dignity): 44 Round shall be passed a cup unto them filled with limpid drink: 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 but not harmful or intoxicating. 47 And with them will be mates of modest gaze, most beautiful of eye, 48 As if they were eggs, safely hidden. 49 Then shall some of them advance to others, questioning each other. 50 Said one of the speakers: "I had a friend 51 who would say: "Are you among the believers (of the resurrection)? 52 after we die and become dust and bones, we shall be brought to judgement?'" 53 And he will reply: 'Are you looking down (into Hell)' 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He saith: By Allah, thou verily didst all but cause my ruin, 56 If it had not been for the blessing of my Lord, I would also have been taken to Hell." 57 But then, [O my friends in paradise,] is it [really] so that we are not to die 58 except for our first death? And shall we suffer no chastisement?'” 59 Truly, this is a great victory!" 60 For the like of this then let the workers work. 61 Is this better or the tree of Zaqqum 62 which We have made as a test for the wrongdoers. 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils: 65 Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 They had found their fathers astray, 69 So they hastily follow their footsteps! 70 And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples, 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 See then the end of those who were warned, 73 Except the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 74
