S (Saad)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Suad, I swear by the Quran, full of admonition. 1 Nay, but those who disbelieve are in false pride and schism. 2 How many a generation have We destroyed before their time [for this very sin]! And [how] they called [unto Us] when it was too late to escape! 3 They were surprised that one of them had come to them as warner; and the unbelievers said: "He is a deceiving sorcerer. 4 “Has he made all the Gods into One God? This is really something very strange!” 5 And the leaders among them went about (saying): "Go on, and remain constant to your aliha (gods)! Verily, This is a thing designed (against you)! 6 Never did we hear of [a claim like] this in any faith of latter days! It is nothing but [a mortal man's] invention! 7 Can it be that he alone has received the Quran?" In fact, they have doubts about My Quran and this is because they have not yet faced (My) torment. 8 Or have they the treasures of the Mercy of your Lord, the All-Mighty, the Real Bestower? 9 Or is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, theirs? Then let them climb up the ladders (to the heavens). 10 This is just one of the disgraced armies, that will be routed there and then. 11 Before them the people of Noah, Ad, and Pharaoh of the tent-pegs gave the lie (to the Messengers) 12 So also did the people of Thamud, Lot, and the dwellers of the Forest. 13 None of them was such that it did not deny the Noble Messengers, therefore My punishment became inevitable. 14
