Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose hand is the kingdom, and He has power over all things, 1 [He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving - 2 He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw? 3 Then look again and yet again, your sight will return to you in a state of humiliation and worn out. 4 And assuredly We have bedecked the nearest heaven with lamps, and We have made them missiles for satans: and for them We have gotten ready the torment of the Blaze. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord (Allah) is the torment of Hell, and worst indeed is that destination. 6 When they are cast into it, they will hear its roaring as it boils up, 7 As it would burst with rage. Whenever a (fresh) host is flung therein the wardens thereof ask them: Came there unto you no warner? 8 They will reply: "Yea, a warner did indeed come unto us, but we gave him the lie and said, 'Never has God sent down anything [by way of revelation]! You [self-styled warners] are but lost in a great delusion!"' 9 And they will then say: 'If only we had listened and understood we should not now be among the inhabitants of the Blaze' 10 So they confess their sins. Curse the inhabitants of the Blaze! 11 Surely forgiveness and a mighty reward await those who fear Allah without seeing Him. 12 And whether ye hide your word or publish it, He certainly has (full) knowledge, of the secrets of (all) hearts. 13 Should He not know,- He that created? and He is the One that understands the finest mysteries (and) is well-acquainted (with them). 14
