The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and believing women, and then do not repent, will surely suffer the punishment of Hell, and the torment of burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 The grip of your Lord is severe indeed! 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
