۞ It is He who created you from one soul and created from it its mate that he might dwell in security with her. And when he covers her, she carries a light burden and continues therein. And when it becomes heavy, they both invoke Allah, their Lord, "If You should give us a good [child], we will surely be among the grateful." 189 But when He gave unto them aright, they ascribed unto Him partners in respect of that which He had given them. High is He Exalted above all that they associate (with Him). 190 Associate they those who cannot create aught and are created? 191 The idols are things that are not able to help others or even themselves. 192 And if you call them to true guidance, they will not follow you. It is all the same for you whether you call them to true guidance or keep silent. 193 Those whom you invoke other than Allah are creatures like you. So invoke them. and see if they answer your call, if what you claim is true. 194 Have they feet wherewith they walk? Or have they hands wherewith they hold? Or have they eyes wherewith they see? Or have they ears wherewith they hear? Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Call your (so-called) partners (of Allah) and then plot against me, and give me no respite! 195 “Indeed my Protector is Allah Who has sent down the Book; and He befriends the righteous.” 196 “And those whom you worship besides Him cannot help you nor do they help themselves.” 197 And if ye (Muslims) call them to the guidance they hear not; and thou (Muhammad) seest them looking toward thee, but they see not. 198 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) adopt forgiveness, and enjoin virtue, and turn away from the ignorant. 199 When satan provokes you seek refuge in Allah; He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 200 Those who fear Allah, when a thought of evil from Satan assaults them, bring Allah to remembrance, when lo! they see (aright)! 201 And their brethren increase them in error, then they cease not. 202 If thou bring them not a revelation, they say: "Why hast thou not got it together?" Say: "I but follow what is revealed to me from my Lord: this is (nothing but) lights from your Lord, and Guidance, and mercy, for any who have faith." 203 And when the Qur'an is recited, give ear to it and pay heed, that ye may obtain mercy. 204 Remember your Lord deep in your very soul, in all humility and awe, without raising your voice, morning and evening, do not be one of the heedless, 205 Those who are near to thy Lord, disdain not to do Him worship: They celebrate His praises, and prostrate before Him. ۩ 206
