And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
