So exhort (them, O Prophet), for by your Lord's Grace, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman. 29 Do they say: "He is a poet for whom we expect an adverse turn of fortune?" 30 Proclaim, “Go on waiting I too am waiting along with you.” 31 Is it that their faculties of understanding urge them to this, or are they but a people transgressing beyond bounds? 32 Or do they say: "He has fabricated it?" In fact, they will never believe. 33 (If they are truthful in this), then let them produce a discourse of similar splendour. 34 Have they not been created by aught, or are they the creators? 35 Did they create the heavens and the earth? No! They have no faith. 36 Or have they the treasures of your Lord with them? Or have they been set in absolute authority? 37 Do they have a ladder (by which they can climb up to the heavens) and listen (to the angels) and come back to the rest of the people with clear authority? 38 Or, [if you believe in God, how can you believe that] He has [chosen to have] daughters, whereas you yourselves would have [only] sons? 39 Or do you ask them for a reward, so that they are overburdened by a debt? 40 Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down? 41 Do they design evil plans? The disbelievers themselves will be snared by their evil plots. 42 Is theirs a god beside Allah? Hallowed be Allah from that which they associate! 43 And if they were to see a fragment of the heaven falling, they would say: A heap of clouds. 44 So leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs when they shall be struck down, 45 and when their evil plans will be of no benefit to them nor will they be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment (i.e. the torment in this world and in their graves) before this, but most of them know not. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 36]. 47 And wait thou patiently the judgment of thy Lord; verily thou art before Our eyes; and hallow the praise of thy Lord when thou uprisest. 48 And glorify Him in the night and when the stars begin to wane. 49
Almighty God's Truth.
