Al-Haaqqah 2 of 2
But nay! I swear by that which you see, 38 And by oath of those you do not see. 39 that this is the speech of an honourable Messenger, 40 It is not the speech of a poet; little do you believe 41 nor is it the speech of a soothsayer little do you remember. 42 (This is) a Message sent down from the Lord of the Worlds. 43 And if he [i.e., the Prophets] had forged this Discourse and thereafter ascribed it to Us, 44 We would have caught hold of him by his right hand 45 Then We would have cut from him the aorta. 46 and not one of you would have been able to withhold Us from doing so. 47 And verily it is an admonition unto the God-fearing. 48 And behold, well do We know that among you are such as will give the lie to it: 49 And most surely it is a great grief to the unbelievers. 50 yet it is a certain truth. 51 Therefore, proclaim the purity of your Lord, the Greatest. 52
