Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaf. By the glorious Koran! 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 “When we are dead and have turned to dust, will we be raised again? That return is impossible!” 3 We know all that the earth takes away of them, and a Book of Records is with Us. 4 Nay, but they cried lies to the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a case confused. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it? 6 And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind, 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 And tall (and stately) palm-trees, with shoots of fruit-stalks, piled one over another;- 10 As sustenance for the bondmen; and with it We revived a dead city; this is how you will be raised. 11 Before them, the nation of Noah, the nation of ArRass belied and so did Thamood 12 And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot 13 And the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'; everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect. 14 Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! 15
