We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. 16 Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and noted them), one sitting on the right and one on the left. 17 He does not utter a single word, without a ready recorder seated next to him. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 and [in the end] the trumpet [of resurrection] will be blown: that will be the Day of a warning fulfilled. 20 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness. 21 You were heedless of this, but now We have removed your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 His companion said: “Here is he who was in my charge.” 23 "Cast each stubborn unbeliever into Hell," (they will be told), 24 “The one who excessively prevented from virtue, the transgressor, the doubtful.” 25 Who made [as equal] with Allah another deity; then throw him into the severe punishment." 26 ۞ His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning. 28 The word will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants." 29
