Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Indeed, did you know with certain knowledge 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

Almighty God's Truth.
