3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said, "Let us build a fire and throw him into the flames". 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 and We preserved for him a good name among posterity. 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 Then, We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous, 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
