Is it not a guidance to those who inherit the earth after those who inhabited it that, did We will, We would smite them because of their sins, sealing their hearts so they do not hear? 100 Such were the towns whose story We (thus) relate unto thee: There came indeed to them their messengers with clear (signs): But they would not believe what they had rejected before. Thus doth Allah seal up the hearts of those who reject faith. 101 We did not find many among them keeping their promises. However, We did find many evil-doers among them. 102 Then, after them, We sent Moses with our tokens unto Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they repelled them. Now, see the nature of the consequence for the corrupters! 103 Moses told the Pharaoh, "I am a Messengers from the Lord of the Universe. 104 "I am duty bound to speak nothing of God but the truth I have brought from your Lord a clear sign; so let the people of Israel depart with me." 105 [Pharaoh] said, "If you come with a sign, then produce it, if you are telling the truth." 106 Then he flung down his staff and lo! it was a serpent manifest; 107 and he drew forth his hand, and it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 108
