Therefore proclaim thou the praises (of thy Lord): for by the Grace of thy Lord, thou art no (vulgar) soothsayer, nor art thou one possessed. 29 Or say they: (he is) a poet, (one) for whom we may expect the accident of time? 30 Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!" 31 Or do their minds command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people? 32 Do they say, "He has falsely invented it (the Quran)?" In fact, they themselves have no faith. 33 So let them bring a single discourse like it, if they are truthful. 34 Have they been created from nothing or are they themselves their own creators? 35 Or, did they create the heavens and the earth? No, their belief is not certain! 36 Or do they have your Lord's treasures in their keeping? Or have absolute authority over them? 37 Do they have a ladder (by which they can climb up to the heavens) and listen (to the angels) and come back to the rest of the people with clear authority? 38 Or does Allah have daughters whereas you have sons? 39 Do you (Muhammad) ask them for any payment (for your preaching) which they cannot afford? 40 Or is the hidden with them, by which they pass judgements? 41 Or do they intend a plan? But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan. 42 Do they have another god besides God? God is too exalted to be considered equal to the idols. 43 Even if they were to see a part of the heavens falling down upon them, they would say, "It is only dense cloud". 44 Wherefore let them alone, till they meet their Day whereon they shall swoon. 45 The day on which their struggle shall not avail them aught, nor shall they be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment besides this: But most of them understand not. 47 And wait thou patiently the judgment of thy Lord; verily thou art before Our eyes; and hallow the praise of thy Lord when thou uprisest. 48 and proclaim the praise of thy Lord in the night, and at the declining of the stars. 49
