When your Lord called upon Moses: "Go to the wicked people, 10 the people of Pharaoh; will they not be godfearing?' 11 He said: "My Lord! I fear that they will brand me a liar. 12 "And my breast straitens, and my tongue expresses not well. So send for Harun (Aaron) (to come along with me). 13 besides, they accuse me of a crime, and I fear that they may put me to death." 14 He said: by no means. So go ye twain with Our signs; verily We shall be with you listening. 15 "So go forth, both of you, to Pharaoh, and say: 'We have been sent by the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds; 16 Let the children of Israel go with us!'" 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 Yet you were ungrateful and have done the deed you did' 19 He said: I did it then while I was of those unable to see the right course; 20 Then I fled for fear of you. Then my Lord bestowed wisdom and authority on me and made me one of the Messengers. 21 And this is the past favour wherewith thou reproachest me: that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel. 22 Pharaoh said, 'And what is the Lord of all Being?' 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord and Cherisher of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- if ye want to be quite sure." 24 Said Firaun to those around him, “Are you not listening with attention?” 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers. 26 Pharaoh said, "This messenger who has been sent to you is surely possessed!" 27 He said: Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them, if ye did but understand. 28 (Pharaoh) said: If thou choosest a god other than me, I assuredly shall place thee among the prisoners. 29 Said Moosa, “Even if I bring to you something clear?” 30 (The Pharaoh) said: "Then bring it, if you speak the truth." 31 So Moosa put down his staff and it became a visible serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand, thereupon it shone bright before the beholders. 33
