The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Hath taught the Qur'an. 2 He created man, 3 He taught distinctness. 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 In order that you may not corrupt the balance. 8 weigh, therefore, [your deeds] with equity, and cut not the measure short! 9 And He appointed the earth for the creatures. 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware, 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains: 24 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 25
