There is a sign for them in the lifeless earth. We revive it and We produce grain from it of which they eat. 33 And We produce therein orchard with date-palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth therein: 34 That they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks? 35 Exalted is He who created all pairs - from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know. 36 And [of Our sway over all that exists] they have a sign in the night: We withdraw from it the [light of] day - and lo! they are in darkness. 37 how the sun moves in its orbit and this is the decree of the Majestic and All-knowing God; 38 And (as for) the moon, We have ordained for it stages till it becomes again as an old dry palm branch. 39 It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law). 40 Another Sign for them is that We carried all their offspring in the laden vessel 41 And We made similar vessels for them to ride. 42 Had We wanted, We could have drowned them and nothing would have been able to help or rescue them 43 Except as a mercy from Us and provision for a time. 44 When it is said to them: 'Have fear of that which is before you and behind you in order that you find mercy' 45 And never came an Ayah from among the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it. 46 And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allah has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error." 47 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 48 They await not but one shout, which shall lay hold of them while they are yet wrangling. 49 Therefore neither able to make a will, nor returning to their homes. 50
