And, indeed We gave Our Grace to Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron). 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
