Say: 'Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 My Lord! then place me not among the wrong-doing people. 94 Surely We are able to show you what We warn them against. 95 Respond to the injustice (done to you) with the better deed. We know best what they attribute to God. 96 and say, "My Lord, I seek refuge with You from the prompting of the devils. 97 and I take refuge in Thee, O my Lord, lest they attend me.' 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 that I should do righteousness in that I forsook' No! It is only a word which he will speak. Behind them there shall stand a barrier till the Day that they shall be resurrected. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown there will be no lineage among them that Day, nor will they ask of each other. 101 Then as for him whose good deeds are preponderant, these are the successful. 102 and those whose scales are light, those will be the ones who will have courted loss. They will abide in Hell. 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and therein they will grin, with displaced lips (disfigured). 104 Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. 105 They will say: our Lord! our wretchedness overcame us, and we have been a people erring. 106 O our Sustainer! Cause us to come out of this [suffering] - and then, if ever We revert [to sinning,] may we truly be [deemed] evildoers!" 107 He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me. 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 But you took them for a laughingstock, so much so that they made you forget My Remembrance while you used to laugh at them! 110 [But,] behold, today I have rewarded them for their patience in adversity: verily, it is they, they who have achieved a triumph!" 111 He will ask, "How many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They shall say, 'We have tarried a day, or part of a day; ask the numberers!' 113 He will say, “You stayed but only a little, if you knew.” 114 What, did you think that We created you only for sport, and that you would not be returned to Us?' 115 So Most Supreme is Allah, the True King; there is no God except Him; Lord of the Throne of Honour. 116 He who invokes any other god along with Allah " one for whom he has no evidence" his reckoning is with his Lord alone. Indeed, these unbelievers shall not prosper. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
