Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 We made in it gardens of date-palms and vines, and We caused springs to gush forth 34 So that they may eat of its fruit; yet it was not done by their hands. Then why do they not acknowledge thanks? 35 Hallowed be He who hath created all the pairs of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves and of that which they know not! 36 And a sign for them is the night; We strip the day out of it, thereupon they are in darkness. 37 And the sun runs its course for its final destination; this is a command of the Almighty, the All Knowing. 38 how We ordained the moon to pass through certain phases until it seems eventually to be like a bent twig; 39 It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law). 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship. 41 and created for them similar things to ride. 42 And if We list, We shall drown them, and there will be no shout for them, nor will they be saved. 43 Unless by mercy from Us, and as a comfort for a while. 44 And when it is said unto them: fear that which is before you and that which is behind you, that haply ye may find mercy, they withdraw. 45 and whenever a revelation out of their Lord's revelations comes to them, they ignore it. 46 And when it is said unto them: Spend of that wherewith Allah hath provided you, those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Shall we feed those whom Allah, if He willed, would feed? Ye are in naught else than error manifest. 47 Further, they say, "When will this promise (come to pass), if what ye say is true?" 48 They will not have to wait long. When the Day of Judgment comes, it will only take a single blast of sound to strike them while they are quarrelling with one another. 49 Then they will not be able to make bequest, nor they will return to their family. 50
