The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
