Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds which scatter dust, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; 18 And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is [the source of] your sustenance [on earth] and [of] all that you are promised [for your life after death]: 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as surely true as that you have speech. 23
