Noah had called upon Us (earlier). See, how excellent We were in answering him! 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
