Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Have We not expanded for you your breast, 1 And relieve you of the burden – 2 Which weighed down thy back. 3 And [have We not] raised thee high in dignity? 4 So truly with hardship comes ease, 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So when thou art empty, labour, 7 And to thy Lord turn (all) thy attention. 8
God the Almighty always says the truth.
