Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 Indeed you will come to know soon. 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
